Don’t expect it to make your work more productive unless you can devote the time to learn how to use it. If you plan on having projects that are variants of each other, then tools like macros will make your life much easier.Ī huge caveat: EPlan has a steep learning curve.

If you need to be able to create new designs that are more one-offs, then EPLAN probably isn’t what you need right now (especially given that you don’t already know it). I think the best way to figure this out is to ask yourself what kind of projects you are going to work with. The classes can be good, but sadly they really depend on the instructor. There are many tools you can use to automate workflow, but they all require know-how and effort to get them the way you want them. If you take the time to learn how it all works and really know what you want it to do, then EPLAN can make your design projects extremely fast and efficient. #WHAT IS EPLAN MANUAL#
The software supports a wide variety of engineering methods: from manual creation through to standardised and template-based approaches. One of the biggest time savers is the report generation structure. EPLAN Electric P8 is a consistent, integrated and fast engineering system for you to plan and design the electrical engineering for machines and plant systems. I’ve used EPlan for about 7 years now, and the productivity really is a function of how much experience you have with it and how much you are willing to automate. On the subject of increase in productivity, the answer is both yes and no.
